Belt is sized one inch larger than stated chest measurements to accommodate wearing over outfits.(For Example: If your pet has a size 16" chest you would select size "Large" and include your pet's actual true chest measurement of 16" in the appropriate box. The belt would be made for a 17" chest which should accommodate wearing over other garments)
